Main accused behind missing explosives trucks arrested
Sagar: Police have arrested the main accused behind missing of over 60 explosives laden trucks when they were on their way to Madhya Pradesh from Rajasthan.

"We have arrested the main accused Devendra Singh Thakur, who carried a reward of Rs 10,000 on his head," Superintendent of Police V K Suryavanshi told reporters in Sagar.

Thakur was arrested from Sadari village of the district, he said.

This is sixth arrest in connection with the disappearance of explosives laden trucks.

Earlier, Rajasthan and MP police had arrested Shivcharan Heda, his wife Deepa, Jaikisan Aswani, Gopal Shakyawar and Rajendra Choubey in connection with the case, police said.

Sixty-one Madhya Pradesh-bound trucks loaded with explosives and gelatin sticks worth Rs 1.30 crore went missing on its way to Sagar in August.

Sagar IG Anvesh Manglam had said that the trucks carrying around of 600 tonnes of explosives were sent from Rajasthan Explosives and Chemicals Limited in Dholpur to a trading company Ganesh Magazine in Sagar.

The vanishing act happened in a period of four months between April to July, he had said.
