New Delhi: The Liberhan Commission report on Babri Masjid demolition will be tabled in Parliament along with the Action Taken Report (ATR) during the Budget session of Parliament.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs V Narayanasami told reporters that a discussion on the report would be possible only after tabling of the report along with the ATR.
He said discussion on the report would be "meaningless" if it is held without the Home Ministry considering the report and the recommendations made by it and Cabinet decision on the matter.
Recalling that criminal cases were pending against BJP leaders like L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and former BJP leader Uma Bharti, he claimed that the session would see the isolation of that party on the issue.
Narayanasami claimed that except for the Shiv Sena, no other party in the NDA would be supportive of the BJP and a "vast majority" in both Houses would be against it over the issue.
Dismissing suggestions that the main Opposition will create trouble in Parliament, he said the UPA will try to corner the BJP on the issue.
