Ahmedabad:
A lady constable from Karanj police station was killed with a sharp-edged weapon late last night at her residence in Naroda, police said.
"A lady constable Sharda Peduram (52) was found dead at her residence in Naroda locality here late last night.
Prima facie it seems she was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by an unidentified man and succumbed to her injuries," they said. "The incident took place between 10:30 to 1:30 pm," they added.
The motive behind the killing was not known. A case has been registered against an unidentified person and investigations are underway.
