Kashmir without power, hospitals hit hard

Srinagar: The entire Kashmir valley has been plunged into darkness due to disruption in supply of electricity. The disruption occurred due to failure of the northern power grid because of fog. Even essential services have been affected.

In sub zero temperatures, hospitals are the worst. Patients and their attendants' are shivering because no heating systems are working in hospitals after the power breakdown at midnight.

Although people in Kashmir are used to long power cuts during the winter, the breakdown in Northern Grid has badly hit the hospitals and other essential services.
