Indian charged with wife's murder in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur: A 28-year-old Indian national in Malaysia has been charged here with murdering his wife, whose body was found in the bathtub.

Shahsi Kumar is accused of killing his wife at a boutique in Cheras suburb in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur on December 30 last year.

The victim's body was discovered four days later by the boutique owner.

"The victim was found in the bathtub with a stab wound in the abdomen and blood was splattered all over the bathroom," New Straits Tines said.

The 28-year-old victim had worked at the boutique for six months.

When the charge was read to him, Kumar nodded his head. However, no plea was recorded.
