How the numbers stack up in Lok Sabha after DMK's pullout

New Delhi: With the DMK announcing a sudden pullout from the Congress-led UPA government, the dynamics of the ruling coalition has changed significantly.

With 18 members in the Lok Sabha, the DMK is the third largest constituent of the UPA.

The Congress leads the pack with 207 MPs and the Trinamool Congress is second with 19 MPs.

After the DMK's withdrawal of support, the total strength of the UPA which is at 260, comes down to 242.

The simple majority in the 543-member Lok Sabha is 272.
