The gloomy picture of a falling industrial output found its reverberation in Parliament today with the BJP slamming the government on the floor of the House.
Slamming the government, BJP leader Arun Jaitley said:
- Have to test reforms and find out how they fit in our economy
- Constituents of the UPA-2 were protesting against FDI policy
- Policy should have been announced after a full consensus within UPA 2
- Large structure retail will not create additional jobs but will displace jobs
- Every change does not necessarily mean reform
