A 16-year-old handball player was allegedly raped by her school physical training teacher repeatedly for over two years, police said today. The girl has been playing for the school team for the last two years.
The girl accused that Abdul Hanif, 40, had raped her 7-8 times in the last two years, adding, that he last raped her on December 17 in a hotel room in Baran, said Circle In-charge Ram Singh Meena, Mahila Police Station.
She has lodged a complaint against Abdul, who is currently posted as Physical Training Instructor at a government senior secondary school.
"She alleged that Abdul would take her to different cities to participate in handball events and rape her in hotel rooms," Mr Meena said, adding that he would provide fake ID for the girl to get hotel rooms.
The girl has been sent for medical examination and a statement before the magistrate would be recorded later today, Mr Meena said.
A case has been registered against Abdul under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, POCSO and SC/ST Act. He has still not been arrested.
