Gujarat riots: Now, suspended IAS officer writes to SIT against Narendra Modi
Ahmedabad: There seems to be more trouble for Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as a suspended IAS officer, Pradeep Sharma, has written to the Special Investigating Team (SIT) chief RK Raghavan claiming that the Chief Ministers had asked him during the riots to ask his brother and IPS officer Kuldeep Sharma to abstain from taking any proactive measures in favour of minorities.

This comes a few days after IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt filed an explosive affidavit before the Supreme court alleging Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's complicity in the Gujarat riots.

Pradeep Sharma is currently lodged in a Bhuj jail in connection with a post-earthquake rehabilitation land scam. His brother had been dumped to insignificant posts as Modi government feared that he had helped CBI during their investigations in Sohrabudin case. He recently went on deputation to Delhi.

Government sources, however, have raised questions over the timing of the letter.
