Fans track Hillary's visit on Twitter, Facebook

Want to know what US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is doing right now in India? Just log on to Twitter, Facebook or Flickr -- the online social networking sites to get the latest updates.

Clinton's India visit, first after her assuming the charge, is not only being tracked by the traditional press but also by her fans who are using the social online sites to post real-time video footage, photos and comments.

"The Secretary will be covered on hot new social networking sites Twitter, Flickr and Facebook. The 'Americagov' Twitter feed -- http://twitter.com/americagov -- will be following the Secretary every step of the way during her activities in Mumbai and New Delhi," a US embassy release said in New Delhi on Saturday.

It said, "A big fan of new media social networking tools, Secretary Clinton encourages friends around the world to use new media to discuss important issues and share photos of her India activities."

For Facebook, the website address is http://www.facebook.com/ejournalUSA, it said adding the State Department websites will provide the texts of her speeches and photos.
