New Delhi: Fali Nariman, one of country's top lawyers and constitutional experts, will file a petition in Supreme Court against the ban on Jaswant Singh's book.
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had imposed a ban on the book in the state after it came under flak from the BJP leadership.
The book has earlier led to the expulsion of veteran leader Jaswant from his party, which he served for around 30 years.
In the book, Jinnah - India, Partition, Independence, Jaswant has said that it was not Jinnah, but Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and Sardar Vallabbhai Patel, who were responsible for the Partition of India.
