Early trend: Moderate polling in J&K
Jammu: Moderate polling was reported in the Udampur-Doda Lok Sabha constituency in Jammu and Kashmir that went to polls in the second phase on Thursday.

Large number of voters were seen waiting outside the polling stations in all the 17 Assembly constituencies spread across six districts to exercise their franchise.

As many as 13.62 lakh voters are eligible to exercise their franchise at 1,972 polling stations in the constituency. Officials said there were no reports of untoward incidents from anywhere in the state.

Congress, PDP and BJP are locked in a three-cornered contest in the constituency. Of the total six seats in the state, only Udampur-Doda segment is going to polls today, while Jammu went to polls in the first phase.

The four others seats are spread over in the remaining four phases.

Along with the Udhampur-Doda seat, by-polls to Bhaderwah assembly segment is also being held on Thursday. By-polls to the constituency were necessitated after former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad vacated following his election to Rajya Sabha.
