A pretty old remark made by former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav that he would make the roads of Patna as smooth as Hema Malini's cheeks seems to be turning into reality, though in his political rival's regime.
Hema Malini, who was in Patna to campaign for the BJP candidate Shatrughan Sinha, inspected the roads and said they have improved since Lalu Yadav's days.
"The roads have improved since the days of Lalu Prasad Yadav," the actor replied when asked by a reporter if she considered the roads in the state 'as smooth as her cheeks now'.
Malini, a matinee idol of yesteryears, also heaped praise on Nitish for turning the 'impossible into possible' in Bihar.
"Nitishji has achieved the impossible," the Rajya Sabha member, who came here to canvass for BJP's Shatrughan Sinha from Patna Saheb Lok Sabha seat, told reporters.
"We have special relations and I feel honoured to seek votes for Shatrughanji," she said and expressed hope that people would definitely listen to her and vote in large number for Sinha.
