DMK cannot be wiped out, says Karunanidhi
Chennai: DMK president and former Tamil Nadu chief minister M.Karunanidhi on Saturday asserted the party cannot be wiped out by vendetta politics played by the ruling AIADMK.

Speaking at a public meeting at his home constituency Tiruvarur to condemn the arrest of party's district secretary Poondi K. Kalaivannan, he said, "I don't know how long I would be alive. But nobody can destroy DMK during my life time and after that."

Tiruvarur is located near Thanjavur, the rice granary of the state, around 325 km from Chennai.

Karunanidhi charged the AIADMK government of foisting land grab cases on party men.

Speaking about the financial position of the state, he said within three months of AIADMK coming to power, the state's debt has gone up by Rs.17,483 crore.
