Guntur: Five children in Andhra Pradesh were forced to dip their hands in hot oil after they were accused of stealing their neighbour's cellphone.
The tribal children were promised that if they were innocent, nothing would happen to their fingers.
All five suffered serious burns and have been hospitalized.
The incident took place in Jangamaheshwapuram in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. The man who bullied the children into injuring themselves has been arrested.
