New Delhi: Actress Celina Jaitly's father Colonel Vikram Kumar Jaitly died on Tuesday due to a prolonged illness and the 35-year-old actress remembered her late father in a Facebook post titled 'Loss of a Loved One.' "Nothing truly prepares you for the loss of your parent, not even prolonged illness of your loved one. We always take for granted the fact that they are well and alive where ever they are and go about our lives," she wrote. Celina Jaitly, who is expecting twins for the second time, was in Dubai with her husband Peter Haag and sons Winston and Viraaj, when she got the news of her father's death. Celina returned to India to attend the last rites.

In the lengthy Facebook post, Celina paid tribute to her late father and described him as a popular leader among his colleagues, who called him 'Tiger.' She added: "Papa wherever you are, send us a sign that you are fine and in the soldiers heavens where you have a very special place and always wanted to be. We hope to see you one day when you come to hold our hands for our crossing over. Until then we will miss you dearly. I will miss you dearly Daddy Pig."
