Jammu:
A ceasefire violation was reported from the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday morning.
The Border Security Force (BSF) post of Ballad came under fire and the firing continued for 10 minutes.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The BSF sources say that it could have been cover fire given by the Rangers to the infiltrating militants.
Infiltration by militants rises in winters specially as there is heavy fog in the mornings.
The BSF is going to lodge a strong protest with the Pakistani rangers and plans to take it up with during the flag meeting.
