Cash-at-door scam: Clean chit for Punjab judge
New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium has given a clean chit to justice Nirmal Yadav, 15 months after the cash-at-door-scam.

After 15 months of the cash-at-door came to light, Justice Nirmal Yadav of Punjab and Haryana High Court have been cleared of corruption charges. She is being transferred to Uttarakhand High Court.

Rs 15 lakhs was delivered at the doorstep of another Punjab Judge Justice Nirmaljit Kaur in August, 2008, which was alleged to be meant for Justice Nirmal Yadav.

The person who delivered the money was arrested and CBI took over the case.

Meanwhile Justice Yadav was asked to go on leave. CBI submitted its report to the government and it sought then AG Milon Banerjee's opinion.

He had said that no case is made out against Justice Yadav.
