Patna: With BJP dubbing Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as 'ahankari' (arrogant) in its poll campaign, Mr Kumar today asked mediapersons to judge whether he was arrogant or Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"I leave it on you fellows to judge whether I am arrogant or Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Mr Kumar told reporters when asked about BJP dubbing him as 'arrogant'.

"In my press conference, you can ask any number of questions and I will leave the place only when mediapersons have exhausted their questions...But do you get chance to ask any question to him (PM)?" the chief minister asked.

Most of the BJP poll hoardings with photographs of Prime Minister and party chief Amit Shah in Patna and other parts of the state have posed a question to voters - 'Will Bihar move forward on the basis of crime and arrogance?'

On the aspect of crime, BJP has sought to remind citizens of the possible effects of Mr Kumar joining hands with Lalu Prasad's RJD whose 15 year rule was marked by bad law and order in the state.

The 'ahankar' (arrogance) barb is aimed at Kumar, the face of JD(U), RJD and Congress alliance in the upcoming Bihar elections.

Rubbishing the allegation of being arrogant, Mr Kumar said, "When I show them mirror, they dub me as arrogant."

The Bihar CM has on several occasions in the past refuted the allegation of being arrogant and said being the son of a freedom fighter, he has always followed 'sanskar' (etiquette).
