Bengal Candidates Make The Most Of Long Break Before Results

Kolkata: The elections in West Bengal are over and most politicians are anxious about results. Some want to watch a movie with the family after a long time but are not getting tickets in the holiday season. Some simply are relaxing in the best possible manner that they can.

BJP's Roopa Ganguly for instance is gardening and indulging in photography. When she's not rushing of to Jadavpur University on political duty, she does what she has not been able to do for the last month and a half. Her plants, she says, missed her and the camera has not been pulled out of its bag since the election started.

The BJP Candidate from Howrah (North) told NDTV, "I am one of those typical politicians. I do what I want to do. I have slept for six hours every day after a long break."

Kolkata Mayor Sovan Chatterjee says he has missed spending time with his dogs. His four legged friends Waffle, Scotch, Toffee and Chotu are making the most of this free time. Waffle makes it clear he doesn't like to be disturbed even by us.
 

Kolkata Mayor Sovan Chatterjee is now spending time with his four legged friends making the most of his free time.

Mr Chatterjee told NDTV, "I enjoy their company. I can relax more with these guys than with media persons. I was out of station for few days. They were sad. When I entered my house they were happy."

CPI(M)'s Shatarup Ghosh is rediscovering John Denver in this two week break as he could not get tickets for the movie Jungle Book. "I wanted to go and watch Jungle Book. Tried to get tickets thrice but it was housefull. Need to try again," Mr Ghosh told NDTV.

Votes will be counted in West Bengal and four other states today.
