Babhli dam issue: PM convenes meeting on August 2
New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has convened a meeting with the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra on August 2 to discuss the Babhli issue.

This comes after an all-party delegation from Andhra Pradesh met the PM on July 26 to convey the state's resentment at how Maharashtra's Babhli dam would rob the Telangana region of its share of Godavari water.

A Telugu Desam team had gone to Maharashtra's Nanded district demanding that it be allowed to visit Babhli dam, but its leaders including Chandrababu Naidu were arrested and later sent back to Hyderabad.
