New Delhi:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today met with Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari at his residence at 7, Race Course Road. The one-on-one meeting, that lasted for a little over thirty minutes, ended in both leaders issuing a brief joint statement.

- President Zardari is on a private visit and I have taken advantage of this visit to discuss with all bilateral issues.
- I am very happy satisfied with the outcome of this visit.
- President Zardari has also invited me to visit Pakistan.
- I would be very happy to visit Pakistan on a mutually convenient date.
- Relations between India and Pakistan should become normal.
- We have a number of issues and are willing to find a practical, pragmatic solution and that's the message me and President Zardari would wish to convey.
Asif Ali Zardari- I would like to wish the people of India.

- We're hoping to meet on Pakistan's soil very soon.
