Arvind Kejriwal is currently touring Punjab which will vote next year.
Arvind Kejriwal is a Punjabi as he was born before the formation of Haryana in undivided Punjab and is the best choice to lead the state, said former Congress leader Jagmeet Brar, who has recently floated his political outfit Lok Hit Abhiyan and allied with the Aam Aadmi Party.
Addressing a gathering of industrialists, Mr Brar said the Congress and Akali leaders were wrongly targeting Kejriwal for being a Haryanvi. He said Mr Kejriwal was best suited to address the water sharing issues of Punjab and Haryana since he understands the needs of both states.
On AAP's chief ministerial candidate for Punjab, Mr Brar said that Mr Kejriwal will be the best choice to lead the party as he is the only leader who can take everyone together.
Mr Brar said that his political outfit has extended support to AAP and he was in talks with its leaders to contest election on AAP symbol from constituencies where his outfit has strong candidates.
