Anna supporters push online crusade

New Delhi: The first battle of the Anna Hazare campaign against corruption may be over, but legions of his followers are readying for the long haul - online and otherwise.

"The Lokpal Bill version 2.1 is on the net and we are receiving suggestions on it. We are trying to see how to take this bill to every corner of the country," said Right to Information activist Arvind Kejriwal.

"We will now target professional colleges, then people of my generation working in MNCs, and then we will target sportsperson and then those above 40 who are not on Facebook," said former MNC employee Naga Srinivas.

Seventy two-year-old Hazare went on a "fast-unto-death" on April 5 demanding that the government introduce a bill to tackle corruption immediately, and that politicians alone not be in charge of drafting that bill. (Read: Who is Anna Hazare?)

The government agreed to most of his demands and issued a notification constituting a joint committee of ministers and civil society activists to draft an effective Lokpal Bill. (What is Jan Lokpal Bill?)
