New Delhi:

The meeting on wage delay between Air India's management and unions remained inconclusive for a second day in a row on Friday.

Three unions representing nearly 70 per cent of the Air India's total strength of 32,000 employees met up with the CMD, and the meeting went on for over three hours.

Unions insist they want their salaries on time while the management has stuck to its stand that the June salary will be delayed by two weeks.

The meeting will continue on Saturday as well.

Earlier on Friday, Air India employees of the national carrier staged a demonstration by holding bowls outside the airport in Chennai for deferment of their salaries.

Air India recently took decision that payment of its employees would be deferred by 15 days and also decided to cut salaries of about 31,000 employees. Employees blamed Minister of State (Independent charge) for Civil Aviation Praful Patel for the mismanagement.
