New Delhi:

Aug 22, 2009: Close shave for 141 passengers and crew of a Chennai-bound Air India flight as the pilot managed to safely land the aircraft in Chennai despite a tyre burst while taking off from Singapore.

Aug 15,2009: A Hyderabad-bound Air India aircraft with 28 passengers on board had to head back and make a 'precautionary' landing after a technical alarm bell went off minutes after it had taken off from Kolkata.

July 03, 2009: Around 200 passengers, including Kerala Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan and two of his Cabinet colleagues, had a narrow escape when an Indian Airlines aircraft developed a technical snag and the pilot diverted the plane to Nagpur.

June 2009: More than 180 passengers of a Delhi-bound Kingfisher Airlines flight had a close shave when the aircraft's wing hit the wall of a bunker while taxiing on the runway before take-off from the Bagdogra airport.

May 2009: Major collision was averted between Jet Airways and Air India plane on Mumbai Airport when Kolkata bound Jet Airways plane was about to take-off from the runway. The pilot of the Jet plane applied brakes as soon as he saw another aircraft on the same runway.

Feb 2009: Capt S K Kohli, the pilot of IC-866, an Airbus A-321 aircraft, had aborted take off and applied emergency brakes when he saw one of the three Air Force helicopters ferrying the President landing on the runway.
