"She seems better than earlier but still needs to be kept under observation," a doctor at Bijnor's district hospital, where the girl is admitted, said.
The girl has alleged that she was raped by four men when she was returning from her tuition classes on February 2. The young girl filed a police complaint and then sat on a fast-unto-death demanding the men be arrested.
"They told me that no matter what I did, they would get away with it. The police took no action. It's been 12 days. The police took money from them and are on their side," the teenager had alleged from her protest venue.
Not far away, the men, she accused of raping her, had also held a protest, claiming their innocence.
According to the 18-year-old girl, she was persuaded to end her fast by the police, who had allegedly promised her that the accused men will be arrested within 24 hours.
When the men weren't arrested, the girl attempted to kill herself.
The girl's medical report, which will confirm whether she was raped, is awaited.
