Agra: Two members of a music and dance troupe were allegedly kidnapped after their show and gang-raped at gun-point by about a dozen men in Uttar Pradesh's Agra.

Two of the accused, Raj and Jitender, have been arrested. They had allegedly organised the show and were also part of the group that assaulted the women.

The incident reportedly took place on June 25 at a village about 50 kms from Agra, where the rape survivors, along with another woman, had performed at a private function. The orchestra troupe had come from Mathura.

The third woman told the police that she was not attacked because she is pregnant.

The women claim that a fight broke out in the middle of the show and they were asked to leave the venue. The organisers, they say, offered to drive them back to Mathura. On the way, the women noticed that they were being followed by armed men on motorcycles.

According to the women, the organisers allegedly stopped the car about a kilometer outside the village. The women say they were assaulted by about 10 or 12 men.

"They took us to a house and raped us for nearly two hours. They threatened us," said one of the rape survivors.

The two women went to the Agra police and filed a complaint on Wednesday.
