1 More Succumbs to Swine Flu in Rajasthan, Number of Deaths Cross 400-Mark

One more person has succumbed to swine flu in Rajasthan, raising the death toll due to the H1N1 virus to 403 in the state since January one this year, an official said.

Out of 6,461 people found positive for H1N1 virus in the state, 403 people have died so far since January this year, the official of the state Medical and Health Department said.

With the onset of summer and rising temperature around 40 degrees Celsius in day, and up to 25 degrees Celsius at night in the last two days in the state, the swine flu virus would subside, the official predicted.

Jaipur has recorded the maximum deaths with the toll rising to 79 followed by Ajmer 43, Jodhpur 33, Nagaur 30, Barmer 23, Kota 18, Udaipur 15, Chittorgarh 14, Sikar, Bhilwara and Pali 12 each, Tonk 11; Jhunjhunu and Churu 9 each, Bikaner 7, Bharatpur, Dausa, and Banswara 6 each, and one to five at other places in the state.
