Hyderabad:
Two labourers died and another four others were injured as a newly-built slab collapsed in the Maheshwari Vidyalaya Trust Bhavan in the old city area of Hyderabad today.
Nandu, 33, and Venkataiah, 40, died on the spot as the slab fell on them. Among those injured were engineers who were shifted to Osmania hospital.
The two labourers who suffered fatal injuries are from Wanaparthy in Mahbubnagar district.
The slab had been put at 11 pm and collapsed at 1 am. Rescue team were trying to extricate the bodies of the labourers till hours later.
