Two stabbed to death in clash at a Gurgaon call centre

Gurgaon: Two people have been killed and two others are injured in a clash at a call centre in Gurgaon's Udyog Vihar.

25-year-old Sunil Kumar, an executive at the Serco call centre, had just become a father and wanted leave for a few days. However, his team leader Mukesh, who was reportedly at loggerheads with him, refused to sanction him leave.

A heated argument between the two followed, following which Sunil turned up outside the call centre with his cousin Devendra and friend Ramavatar.

Mukesh too called a few of his friends. After a short argument outside the call centre, both sides starting fighting.

Ramavtar and Devendra died after being stabbed by sharp weapons. Sunil, along with another person named Sanjay, suffered grievous injuries. Both are said to be in critical condition.

Mukesh and the other assailants are on the run. However, a man named Pawan, who was part of the group that attacked Sunil has been arrested.

"We are questioning a few people," said a police officer, adding that CCTV footage of the call centre and its adjoining companies was being examined.

"We are deeply saddened by this incident involvingseveral people and our deepest sympathies and condolences are with the affectedfamilies. We are fully supporting and co-operating with the policeinvestigations which are underway," a statement by Serco said.
