Man In Gurgaon Gets Life Imprisonment For Killing His Mother

Gurgaon: A court in Gurgaon has sentenced a youth to life imprisonment for murdering his mother in a bid to obtain her property.

The Gurgaon court has also given life imprisonment to his cousin brother for being an accomplice in the crime and destroying evidences.

The incident came to light on December 13, 2014 when an unidentified human skeleton was found by some local villagers in Aravalli mountain range under Raisina area.

According to police PRO Hawa Singh, after the body was recovered by villagers, rumours spread in village that leopard may have killed that person.

The police had recovered the body and sent the body for post mortem examination which showed that the body was that of a woman who died due to strangulation.

An FIR of murder was registered against unnamed person in Bhondsi police station.

"During investigation, the police came to know that a woman went missing from a neighboring Raisina village," added Mr Singh.

Police suspected her son as he changed his statements and during his sustained interrogation, the woman's son Satish Kumar Singh broke down and narrated the entire sequence of events and confessed that he, along with his cousin Chattar Singh, murdered his mother, to get money and property," said, Hawa Singh.

Satish was in the habit of drinking liquor and was unemployed. He sometimes stole money of Murti Devi.

"Satish and Chattar strangled Murti Devi while she was on way from her work place (Pathways world school Aravalli) to home in Raisina village on the evening on December 8, 2014," Hawa Singh said.
