Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a remake of 2013 Tamil movie Kalyana Samayal Saadham. The film deals with the subject of sexual disorder. Ayushmann Khurrana features as a Gurgaon-based sales manager Mudit, who is suffering from a 'gent's problem.'

In a recent interview with news agency IANS, R S Prasanna said that he will make a sequel of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.

"It will be very interesting. We were waiting for audience's response -- whether they want to listen to the next story or not, and we have received feedback from the audience. They loved Ayushmann and Bhumi's characters in the film, so definitely a sequel will happen," IANS quoted Mr Prasanna as saying.

"I knew audience will like it but I never expected this kind of love and support for the film," he added.
