Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao is contesting from a constituency represented in the past by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. But Mr Rao, a potential chief minister of Telangana, is also the candidate from the Gajwel assembly seat. In 2009, he was one of the two TRS members elected to the Lok Sabha, the other being actor-turned-politician Vijayashanti. He spearheaded the movement for a separate Telangana state.
