New Delhi: The final result for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2017 will be declared today after 8.30 pm. The conducting body for CLAT 2017, Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) will issue category-wise merit list today. CLAT is conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses in 18 National Law Universities. This year the CLAT exam was conducted on May 14, 2017. The exam was a computer-based exam. The initial answer keys were released on May 16 and the final and amended answer keys were uploaded on the website on May 25. The result to be published today will be prepared as per the amended answer key.

Latest Update from CLAT: The result of CLAT 2017 online examination that took place on 14th May 2017 will be uploaded after 8.30 pm today, the 29th May 2017. The candidates can avail the same from their registered ID. 

After the result declaration, the first indicative seat allocation list based on merit-cum-preference will be published on the website on June 5, 2017. After the publication of this list candidates would need to either lock their allotted seats or exercise option to shift against indicative seat allotment by June 8, 2017. The candidates who wish to lock their indicated seat would need to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 50,000.

Candidates who fail to lock their seat within the stipulated time will be dropped from the CLAT 2017 Merit List.

The time for result declaration has not been confirmed yet but going by the trends this year in releasing admit card and answer key, it can be estimated that the result will be out anytime in the evening.
