New Delhi:
A class VI student died when he fell from the second floor in his school in east Delhi, police said on Tuesday.
The incident was reported from Rishab Public School in east Delhi's Mayur Vihar on Monday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Varun Jain (12) who had left the school at around 1:30 pm after the school closed for the day.
He had forgotten to collect some books and went back to the school. When he was returning, he allegedly tripped on the stairs and fell from the railing of the second floor," a senior police official said.
He was taken to Kailash Hospital in Noida and admitted in the Intensive Care Unit where he succumbed to injuries.
