New Delhi: The number of online registrations for admissions to Delhi University's undergraduate courses today crossed the 2 lakh mark.

"A total of 2,00,411 applications were received till 5.30 pm today and 1,13,614 have already made payment," a senior varsity official said.

After the pre-admission 'Open Days' counselling exercise for parents and students concluded earlier this week, the varsity has made the sessions available online for the benefit of admission seekers.

The university has also set up a helpdesk which has a team of student volunteers and staff from its Department of Student Welfare offering one-to-one counselling. Moreover, the community radio, available on the frequency of 90.4 Mhz, is also catering to applicants.

The radio station is inviting experts -- including college principals and teachers -- to answer students' queries as part of its 'Mission DU Admission' programme.

The online registration process will continue till June 15 while offline forms will be accepted at the nine registration centres (colleges) from June 5 to June 15.

The eight registration centres where offline forms will be accepted are Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College, Dyal Singh College, Gargi College, Maharaja Agrasen College, PG DAV College, Rajdhani College, Shyam Singh College and SGTB Khalsa College.

Applications for admissions through sports and Extra Curricular activities (ECA) quota are being accepted at the respective colleges only in offline mode.

Online applications for minority institutions like St Stephen's College and Jesus and Mary College, which have separate admission rules, are also being accepted. There will be no offline applications for these two colleges.

The first cut-off list will be released by DU on June 25.
