New Delhi:
A young man, who had allegedly hired contract killers to murder his father for not giving him money, was arrested in the city along with four others, police said.
Nitish Gupta allegedly hired five alleged contract killers to murder his father Jai Bhagwan Gupta in 2008. The five men killed Gupta in Model Town.
"It was a blind case. However, we managed to nab five of them recently," a senior police official said.
Besides Nitish, police also arrested Lalit Yadav, Lal Bahadur, Ganesh Kumar and Mohad Adil, the alleged contract killers hired by the son.
Another alleged contract killer Rakesh Kumar involved in the case died in a gangwar last year, the official said.
"Nitish was unemployed. He was involved in illegal activities which were opposed by his family. He used to ask his father for money for his expenses. But Gupta never used to give him money. This enraged Nitish and he hired contract killers to murder his father," the official said.
