Light rains bring respite to Delhi
New Delhi: Light showers brought down the temperature considerably in the national capital, bringing relief to the residents who have been reeling under intense heat for the past few days.

The showers came as a welcome relief from the scorching sun and high temperatures which hovered around 45 degree Celsius for the past few days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted the maximum temperature to reach 41 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature on Tuesday morning was recorded two notches above average at 29.5 degree Celsius.

The maximum temperature on Monday was 41.9 degree Celsius, two notches above average.
