Residents in Delhi woke up to a warm morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 28.4 degrees Celsius. Light rain is expected in certain areas of the city later in the day.
The sky will remain partly cloudy, the MeT office said in its forecast. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 40 degrees Celsius.
"The minimum temperature was 28.4 degrees Celsius, in keeping with the season's average," a weather official said.
There is a likelihood of light rain in some areas towards the evening. Humidity was 54 per cent at 8:30 am, the official added.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.1 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 30.4 degrees Celsius.
