New Delhi: A hoax bomb call was today received at a Delhi Metro station here triggering security agencies to launch a sanitisation exercise.

Officials said a call was received at about 7:45 PM at the Tiz Hazari station claiming a bomb has been placed at the facility.

They said bomb disposal teams of the CISF, it's quick reaction commando team and Delhi Police units were scrambled at the station but nothing suspicious or hazardous was found.

"The call was declared hoax after sanitising the station. The police is tracing the caller. Operations at the station were affected for some time," they said.
