Youth commits suicide after losing jobApparently depressed over losing his job, a 22-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide at his grandmother's residence in east Delhi on Tuesday.
The incident was reported from Madhuban locality at around 2:30 pm and the victim has been identified as Manish Kumar, who lost his job in a Gurgaon hotel recently.
"He was found hanging in a room of his grandmother Bhageshwari Devi. He came here this afternoon and after some time went to a room where he committed suicide," a senior police official said.
Kumar was living with his family in nearby Vinod Nagar.
"Kumar's younger brother lives with Devi," the official said.
"Both the grandmother and his younger brother were not at home when he took the extreme step," the official said.
He was apparently depressed over losing his job. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot.
The deceased is survived by his father Dinesh Kumar, mother Usha and a younger brother.
