Delhi: Hot Monday Scorches Capital
New Delhi: The temperature continued to soar in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded two notches above the season's average at 30.1 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy day.

With power outages at night, Delhiites are facing a tough time. People are also witnessing water problems due to electrcity shortage in several areas of the city.

"Even when we get up at 6.30 a.m., it is very hot. Life has become very difficult without power and water," Gurjeet Singh, a resident of Lajpat Nagar, told IANS.

The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 45 degrees Celsius.

Humidity at 8.30 am was 36 percent.

Sunday's maximum temperature settled five notches above the season's average at 45.1 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature settled a notch above the average at 28.6 degrees Celsius.
