New Delhi: Activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal says he has forgiven the heckler who disrupted his press conference and threw ink at him and his associates in Delhi today.

"I forgive Nachiketa. I have no ill will against him. He seems to have some misconceptions about us..." the Aam Aadmi Party chief tweeted.

The heckler, Nachiketa Walnekar, claimed to be a Bharatiya Janata Party or BJP activist from Ahmednagar in Maharashtra. The BJP, though, denied that he was from its ranks.

Mr Walnekar said he was a supporter of social activist Anna Hazare and was angry with the way Mr Kejriwal disbanded the India Against Corruption movement.

Mr Hazare denied he knew the man. "I don't know the person who created the ruckus. When I saw the news, he claimed to be a BJP worker. I don't know who this man is," he said.

Today, Anna Hazare sent a letter to Mr Kejriwal, asking him to clarify whether the funds they raised during their movement for a Lokpal or national ombudsman were diverted for the December 4 elections.

"I have no idea what happened to the money collected during those protests. Those funds should not be used for elections," the 76-year-old activist wrote.

His protege, Mr Kejriwal, dismissed the charges. "If the slightest irregularity is found, I will not fight the Delhi election," he said.
