2 Shot At In Case of Alleged Road Rage in Delhi

New Delhi: In a suspected case of road rage, two occupants of a car were shot at by motorcycle borne
miscreants for allegedly not giving way in south east Delhi, police said today.

The injured Manmohan Sharma, 27, and his brother-in-law Shivam, belonging to Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh were returning to their home in Kotla Mubarakpur at around midnight yesterday when the incident took place, said a senior police officer.

Manmohan, a private tutor along with Shivam had gone for dinner in his car. While returning, a motorcyclist signalled to him for giving way which he could not understand.

As Manmohan stopped his car near Archna Cinema traffic signal, the motorcyclist confronted him and abused him and, the pillion rider allegedly fired several rounds injuring Manmohan and Shivam.

Five empty cartridges were recovered from the spot and further investigation are on, police said.

A case of attempt to murder has been registered and teams have been formed to arrest the assailants, added the officer.
