History
Since its inception in 1984, the Asia Cup has been contested for eight times. India have won the title in 1984, 1988, 1990-91 and 1995. Sri Lanka clinched the title in 1985-86, 1997 and 2004. Pakistan lifted the trophy once in 2000. Hong Kong and UAE played their first Asia Cup in 2004.
