Impressed with US presidential candidate Barak Obama's faith in Lord Hanuman, the devotees of Sankat Mochan Dham Hanuman temple in Chandni Chowk will soon gift him a 15-kilogram idol of the deity.

"On Tuesday, at the Sankat Mochan Dham Hanuman temple, around noon, Barack Obama's Indian representative Ms Caroline will accept the Hanuman idol on his behalf," said Brajmohan Bhama, a Hanuman devotee.

The devotees also plan to convince Indians in the US to vote for Obama.

"We have appealed to all the Indians in the United States to vote for Obama," said Brajmohan Bhama.

A recent photo had shown Obama with a tiny Hanuman and a tiny Madonna and child that he carries along with other good luck charms.
