After the success of the much publicised Internet campaign of the 44th US President, now it's the turn of the Bharatiya Janata Party to go online. The BJP is going to promote its vision and the website showcasing its prime ministerial candidate through the world's biggest search engine Google. But will its online strategy click?

In its bid to reach out to the Internet savvy youngsters, BJP has tied up with Google. The results so far have been encouraging.

"It is a commercial deal. We pay Google for the CPC model, pay them for every click," reveals Pradyut Bora, Convenor, IT Cell, BJP.

Reaching out to the younger first time voters is a huge challenge for any political party. The results were seen when President Obama ran a successful campaign aided by technology. BJP is hoping to repeat that success.

Google declined to talk on record but sources said it is not averse to a deal with other political parties. But since it is the first time that a party has adopted this strategy, no one is sure how successful the results could be.
