India is worried that the instability in Pakistan may have repercussions on the country's internal security.

For India, an unstable Pakistan would mean that investigation into 26/11 will suffer.

India also feels that Pakistan's chaos may trigger a rise in violence in Kashmir.

Also, with passes to Jammu and Kashmir opening up soon, there are chance that the Pakistan establishment may send more jehadis to Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the Long March by lawyers and supporters of Nawaz Sharif has been halted in its tracks. Authorities had allowed a group of several hundred protesters to set off from downtown Karachi earlier, but stopped them as their convoy of cars and buses tried to enter a highway leaving the city.

Several local political party leaders were arrested. The lawyers, Sharif's party and other small groupings plan to converge on the parliament building in Islamabad on Monday and remain there until their demands are met.

They want the reinstatement of the deposed Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhary and other judges.
