Big B is disturbed. And he can hardly mask his anger in his long rebuttal on wife Jaya Bachchan's apology to MNS.

So, Day 144 is enough-is-enough and penny-by-penny account of what Bachchans have so far done to further the cause of Marathi Manus.

Be it providing health aid to a Marathi writer, or buying Marathi filmmaker an air ticket to Oscars, or helping Marathi doctor to complete construction of a hospital, Amitabh Bachchan gives back MNS in same coin, leaving the readers surprised.

While Pradeep thinks that talking about support to Maharashtrians now was bad timing, Amit Varma feels the response could be more dignified.

But the blog entry 144 is mostly flooded with support mails.

Bloggers Deep says Jaya's apology was not needed. And adds there is no security against political goons. More than politicians the blogger blames the media for giving coverage to their hate rhetoric. He points out how politicians openly flout the law and cites reports of MNS leader mocking gag orders as waste of stationary.

Netuser Ramakant reminds readers of how Mumbai once took pride in being called as mini-India. Blogger Nelson says hate attacks like these are some politicians' survival fodder.

While blogger Reet wonders how it feels to prove each time that you are as Indian as others, Netizen Gilani says big celebrity status comes with big responsibility.

Lastly, Reena says its wrong that one has to justify their attachment to their country. And adds that its actually Shiv Sena and MNS who owe an apology, not the Bachchans

Can any one tell me about a single instance of hatred shown by people of Uttar pradesh in Uttar pradesh against the people of any state from India. I say no and I am very proud of my state in this respect. Our state is lagging behind in other aspects but in this respect we are among the best. Mr. Raj Thacrey dont expect to be others like you because life becomes really boring when you have to live with your shadows.Respect the uniqueness in every person.

My comment is that our police and law enforcement agencies are either timid or have no authority to arrest such people who are trying to stir trouble for the whole nation. Look at this: What happened to Orrisa Christian is shameful and blocked out of the news now!! I admire Mr. and Mrs. Bachchan for their courage to ask for forgiveness, even though they meant no harm to anyone. I hope the people who opposed them, have received their desired humility and they will not do it again. Dr. David
